About the Role
We are seeking a qualified and proactive Sole Engineer to join our 34-meter private motor yacht.
This is a hands-on position where you will be responsible for the complete management and maintenance of all onboard technical and mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, operate, and troubleshoot all mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems onboard.
- Oversee main engines, generators, watermakers, air conditioning, and fuel systems.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance.
- Manage engineering inventories, logs, records, and maintenance schedules.
- Assist with docking, mooring, and tender operations.
- Work collaboratively with the Captain and crew to ensure safe and efficient vessel operation.
Qualifications
- MCA Approved Engine Course (AEC 1 & 2) Certificate (minimum requirement).
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience as a Sole Engineer on yachts between 30–40 meters.
- Strong practical knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, HVAC, watermakers, and plumbing systems.
- Ability to independently manage maintenance schedules and system troubleshooting.
- Practical, hands-on, and organized approach to engineering.
Bonus Skills
- Chef/Cooking Skills: Ability to assist with meal preparation is a strong advantage and will be highly valued.
