Build Captain

Salary : EUR 8000 to EUR 15000+ Per Month

A superyacht build captain is a highly skilled professional tasked with overseeing the construction or refit of luxurious superyachts. They play a pivotal role in managing the intricate process of building these high-end vessels, ensuring that the project adheres to stringent quality standards, safety regulations, and the specific requirements of yacht owners. With a deep understanding of naval architecture, engineering, and project management, a superyacht build captain guides the construction team, liaises with shipyards, and ensures the successful execution of the project from inception to delivery. Their expertise contributes to the creation of bespoke, state-of-the-art superyachts, reflecting the pinnacle of maritime craftsmanship and luxury.

Qualifications, training and skills required

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related field is often preferred. Advanced degrees may provide a competitive edge.
