DPA & Safety Manager

Salary : EUR 2500 to EUR 3500 Per Month

The role involves ensuring that the vessel is fully compliant before setting sail. Risk management is crucial in this role. DPA's provide a network between the yacht owner and the management onboard. Due to being the main link between the owners and crew on board, DPA's have to ensure provision is made for the vessel to operate with a safety management system in place. Individuals in this position are expected to be compliant themselves and met the IMO (International Maritime Organisation) minimum standards. They work closely with compliance teams to ensure any open issues are resolved as soon as possible

Qualifications, training and skills required

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of the marine industry
  • Knowledge of the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watch-keeping for Seafarers (STCW)

Extra desired training

  • Knowledge of Maritime Labour Convention
