Birmingham & Midland Marine Services are both a training school and marine access and rescue specialists. We are the approved workboat trainers for the Canal and River Trust, (formerly British Waterways) and run courses for beginners through to experienced commercial skippers. Specialising in the inland waterways we offer boat handling courses, water safety courses, boat fire safety courses, first aid courses and VHF radio courses. Our specialism is training commercial helmsmen but we also offer training to all interested parties. Course are available from the Maritime & CoastGuard Agency, the Royal Yachting Association, the Inland Waterways Association and the Royal Life Saving Society. Your instructor is a Maritime & CoastGuard Agency commercial BoatMaster of twenty years and as Swiftwater & Flood Rescue Technician and Boat Operator with Search and Rescue.
