Canal Experience training is dedicated to ensuring that everyone can enjoy time spent on the Inland Waterways safely.

We offer the core RYA Helmsman’s Course, RYA Crew Course and CEVNI Test which will help you to get started or to improve on your boating skills.

Fancy a Narrowboat Taster Day? Try a day out under instruction – great for groups of 3-6

We also offer an Advanced Boating Skills Course, which offers personal tuition with a working Boatmaster.

For Corporate groups, there is a Team Building Day.

Based on the Southern Grand Union, just north of Watford, you can experience the hidden beauty and nature of our heritage waterways, merely yards from the motorways, railways and towns.

All of our instructors have considerable experience both as boatmen and women and trainers. They are also qualified in First Aid and treat your safety as a priority.
