The centre runs practical courses for RYA Powerboat Courses Levels One & Two and for the larger cruising craft the Inland Waterways Helmsman Certificate (IWHC). Our major course is the IWHC in which we have successfully trained over 700 students. The training waters, all accessible from the Marina, include the Fosdyke Canal, River Witham, Brayford Pool Lincoln and the River Trent. No previous experience is needed before attending any of these courses and all you will need to bring is waterproof clothing and suitable soft soled shoes. Courses can be carried out in one of the centres craft or, if you prefer, in your own boat providing it has all the necessary licence and insurance requirements.
