Performance Yachting Sailing School was established in June 1998 by Bob and Carole Beggs. Based at Torpoint in Cornwall, the Plymouth Sound offers shelter, while the beautiful coastline of Devon and Cornwall, with its many Harbours, Ports and Rivers are undoubtedly one of the world’s best cruising grounds, which makes these waters so enjoyable to learn or improve your sailing. Whether you are just starting out as a beginner or a seasoned sailor we are here to help.

Bob is the director and principle of the sailing school. An RYA/MCA Commercially endorsed Yachtmaster Ocean instructor and examiner. He has many years of sailing and racing experience with over 200,000 miles under his belt. He is undoubtedly one of the most experienced instructors in the country.

Carole also a sailor, runs the school office has been involved in the marine industry for over twenty-five years.
