Welcome to the Royal Northern and Clyde Yacht Club, a club with a fantastic heritage but with a modern outlook.

The Club can trace its origins back to 1824 and has been the home of successful yacht racing since then right up to the present day.

The mainstay of the Club is a very active keelboat racing and development programme. Team and match racing are also key activities and we have a very successful sailing school. The Club operates a ground-breaking co-ownership programme which makes a fleet of nine Sonars available for events, teaching and individual members’ use. A strong cruising presence is also maintained with regular musters.

The Club boasts a magnificent Clubhouse in Rhu and its own mooring field.

The Clubhouse is open most days with bar and dining facilities available. There is an extensive social programme, mainly in the winter, and a variety of rooms are available for private functions.
