Situated in the South of England close to Southampton Airport, an hour and a half by train from central London. It is owned and operated by Kim Holt whose career in Marine Communications is second to none. Kim has worked as a Radio Officer at Portishead radio, Northforeland radio, Niton Radio and with Holland America onboard the S.S.Rotterdam. Kim has taught and examined GMDSS at the UKSA, Blue Water (Antibes/Majorca), was the senior lecturer for communications at Warsash Maritime Academy, and spent seven years as the radio trainer/subject matter expert for the RNLI. Kim continues to work as a part time lecturer and examiner for the Southampton solent University/ Warsash.

Our philosophy on communications training is to keep it simple, and to provide an easy friendly atmosphere where jargon and theory are kept to a minimum. We work hard to provide low costs, best value radio training/courses and maintain our 100% pass rate.

RT Training is a recognised training establishment by the MCA for GOC, ROC, and LRC courses

Kim is both an RYA and MCA GMDSS Radio Examiner.
