Approved by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency this course is designed to meet the requirements laid down in STCW95 Regulation VI/3 and Section A-VI/3 of the STCW95 code.
The student will further their knowledge gained during the STCW Fire Fighting and Fire Prevention course and emphasis will be on organisation, tactics, communication, command and control.
At the end of the course the student will be able to demonstrate the ability to act as a member of a fire party and be able to respond to emergency situations involving fire on board ship. The training programme is aimed to deliver competence based training of advanced fire fighting techniques. Delegates will refresh there basic fire skills and gain knowledge of command and control of fire teams, the organisation and training of onboard fire parties and investigation and reporting of fire incidents onboard vessels. Delegates will be assed by qualified assessors against the competences contained within the STCW code.
