Chief Engineer (SV) Applied Marine Engineering

This is a five day course certificated by SQA examination. It is one of the courses required to obtain the Small Vessel Chief Engineer <9000kW/<3000gt CoC, and can currently be used towards the Y2 CoC in lieu of the Y2 Applied Marine Engineering course for re-sits.

• heat treatment;
• knowledge of testing materials;
• knowledge of joining materials;
• corrosion;
• FRP (GRP);
• instrumentation;
• control engineering;
• engineering drawing;
