The main goal of this 2-day course, is to provide participants with knowledge, understanding and proficiency in the safe use of Navi-Sailor 4000 ECDIS and Chart Assistant Utility.
At the end of the course a Global Transas type specific certificate is issued to the participants.
Course Structure
The course consists of theoretical sessions and sailing exercises using a simulator where theory is applied in practice on Navi-Sailor 4000 ECDIS and Chart Assistant Utility.
It covers the following topics:
•Initial settings and safety parameters
•Faults and alarms
•Route planning and monitoring
•Working with electronic charts
•Sensor inputs
•Playback system
•Maintenance and update
