This one-day course forms part of the mandatory basic safety training for all fishermen.
Course Certificate and Compliance:
The Seafish Industry Authority on behalf of the MCA will issue a course certificate to those who complete the course successfully.
Merchant seafarers requiring an STCW 95 Fire Fighting course are advised to contact Camels Head Fire Station, Plymouth.

Course Aim:
To provide fishermen with the knowledge and skills required to be able to fight fires at sea.
By the end of the training participants will:
Understand fire and the dangers it presents at sea
Understand fire prevention
Understand the principles of fire fighting at sea
