ICC International Certificate of Competence

Course description

This three-day practical course covering the basics of seamanship, safety, manoeuvring, Rules of the Road and navigation, including plotting a course. This course is only available to UK residents or british passport holders (those living abroad however able to supply British passport number on application form).

Course content

Course shall cover a mix of both theory work and practical; regulations (Inc coastal waters regulations), Safety, Pilotage, Navigation inc chart plotting and instruments required, some night hours are also required. Please read syllabus for full details.

Pre-course experience / requirements

None although some Theory study is required, we therefore ask that you obtain a copy of the Motor Cruising Handbook and start to familiarize yourself with the theory prior to the ICC course.
