After this course you will know how to comply with emergency procedures such as collision fire and foundering. You will gain knowledge of the ships contingency plans for response to emergencies and to know about emergency signals and specific duties allocated to crew members. You will learn how to take precautions to prevent pollution of the marine environment including the basic knowledge of the impact of shipping and yachting on the marine environment and the effects of operation or accidental pollution on it. Observing safe working practices, contributing to effective communications on board your yacht, contributing to effective human relationships on board ship, and understanding the reason for taking necessary actions to control fatigue are also part of this course.
