This class #561N is offered as a night class during the STCW Basic Safety Training Class. It is also offered as a 4 hour daytime class as #561.
This 4 hour DNV/MARAD/USCG NMC Approved Course is in compliance with: Regulations 13.4 (Part B)of the International Ship & Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code; The Maritime Transportation Security Act of 2002; The STCW Code, as amended, Chapter VI, Section A-VI/6 and Table A-VI/6; The IMO Model Course Number 3.27 Security Awareness Training for all Seafarers (2012 edition); and Model Course MTSA 04-03 Maritime Security Awareness (2004 edition); The United States Coast Guard regulations contained in 33 CFR Chapter 1 Subchapter H; the mandatory training requirements in 33 CFR Parts 104 and 105; The Guidelines for Maritime Security Training Course Providers, Reference Federal Register February 8, 2005 (Volume 70, Number 25). This course is open to all seafarers and has no training or experience prerequisites. It satisfies requirements for all seafarers to obtain maritime security awareness level training.
