RYA Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster Offshore Theory

This course offers advanced training for more experienced skippers building on the Day Skipper course or for those who have completed their Day Skipper Theory and just want to learn more.

This study will take your theory knowledge to the standard required for the Coastal Skipper and Yachmaster Offshore practical exams, concentrating on advanced navigation and meterology skills.

Course topics include:

•position fixing, tides, GPS other electronic equipment

•taking and interpreting weather forecasts,

•use of almanacs, plotage books and admiralty publications

•collision regulations i.e. IRPCS
