RYA Coastal Skipper

Experience prior to course - Must be able to complete all the tasks in Competent crew & Day Skipper syllabi & have the Coastal Skipper theory knowledge. See RYA logbook G15 for details. For those who have reached the standard of Day Skipper, this is the next step. The aim of the course is to give you the skills required to undertake coastal & offshore passages by day or night. Holders of the Coastal Skipper course completion certificate may wish to take the Yachtmaster coastal exam. See practical exam page for pre-exam requirements
