RYA Day Skipper

On this course students will be introduced to the challenge of taking charge as skipper of a yacht.

Course Structure

During the course you will learn and practice, man overboard recovery, mooring and anchoring under sail and power. Departure and arrival from alongside berths in a variety of different situations will further develop the new skippers organizational and crew managment abilities.

Theoretical navigation skills will be put into practice and also include pilotage, passage making and manoeuvering under sail and power. You will be given opportunities of develop leadership under the friendly and watchful eye of your instructor.
