RYA Intermediate Powerboat

The aim of the RYA Intermediate course is to teach powerboating up to the standard required to complete a short coastal passage by day. It is an ideal course for those more experienced powerboaters looking to extend their horizons and an ideal build up towards the Advanced Powerboat Course. It is also worhwhile considering doing the Essential Naviagtion and Seamanship shorebased or the Day Skipper theory courses to get the most out of this cruising practical course.

Course Structure

A progression from Level 2, introducing pilotage, traditional & electronic navigation and boat handling techniques for planing boats on coastal waters by day.
