RYA Level 1 (Start Sailing)

The RYA Start Yachting course is aimed at anyone who has never sailed before and would like to spend a weekend learning the ropes. The course is designed to give you a taste of yachting and can reduce the length of time required to complete the RYA Competent Crew course.

Experience living on a yacht and visit a different port each night. Learn the fundamentals of handling a boat under sail and under engine. Learn to handle sails, tie knots and become a useful member of crew.

Join the boat at our base in Hamble on Friday evening meet your instructor and crew. Your course will start on Saturday morning, returning Sunday afternoon. Spend a weekend sailing in the sheltered waters of the Solent.
