On successful completion of this course you will receive an RYA certificate for your log book. You will then be ready for the next step – Basic Skills level 2.
Course Structure
This course includes practical work in rigging a boat, understanding and naming parts of the boat, ropework, launching and recovery, sailing techniques and wind awareness. This is supported by some classwork in sailing theory and the rules of the road. All training will be by RYA Dinghy Instructors and the club is a recognised RYA training centre.
