RYA Level 1 (Start Sailing)

The Introduction to Sailing course takes you through all the basics of learning to sail a yacht, from helming and rules of the road to rope work and emergency equipment.

When?

The course takes place every weekend and some weekdays, subject to availability.

Course Schedule

Starts at 0900 and finish at approx 1600 on the final day.

Post Course Ability

By the end of the course you will have experience steering a yacht, sail handling, ropework, and be aware of safety on board.

Holders of the Start Yachting Certificate can go on to complete the Competent Crew course in a reduced time of three days or two weekends.
