RYA Powerboat Level 1

To provide a practical introduction to boat handling and safety in a powerboat.

Over the course of the day we will give you as much driving (helming) time as possible, there is a maximum of three candidates per course.

From our base at Southampton Dry Stack we can practice slow speed boat manoeuvres and seamanship skills as we head down the River Itchen to Southampton Water, practicing high speed manoeuvres as we head towards the River Hamble for lunch, either bring your own lunch or buy it at a local cafe.

Whilst heading back to base, we will introduce you to some of the course content of the RYA Powerboat Level 2 course.
