This course is an introduction to boating techniques for launching and recovering a boat from a road trailer, boat preparation, terminology, safety, engine checks, everyday boat handling and the use of safety equipment.
There is also an introduction to the theory and requirements for Power Boat Level 2.
The Level 1 course completion certificate will be endorsed for coastal waters and is an essential starting point for those wishing to take up leisure power boating.
No previous experience is required. Candidates under 16 will receive an endorsed certificate appropriate to their age.
