RYA Powerboat Level 2

The RYA Powerboat Level 2 course is also known as the National Powerboat Certificate. This Powerboat training course is one of our most popular RYA course. The Powerboat Level 2 runs over 2 days and allows plenty of time for both practical & shorebased instruction. During the RYA Powerboat level 2 as part of your powerboat training you will be taught boat handling and seamanship in powerboats.

This test can be taken on its own without undertaking the Powerboat Level 2 course. This Direct Assessment and can lead to powerboat level 2 certificate, being awarded.

Once you have completed the RYA Powerboat Level 2 your level of powerboat training will enable you to apply to the RYA for an ICC (International Certificate of Competence. Equivalent to the Powerboat level 2 an ICC is required in many European countries when using or chartering vessels. The Powerboat level 2 course is suitable for anyone with extensive boat handling experience and powerboat training and those who have no experience.
