RYA Safety Boat

This two-day (+ one evening) course provides the skills required when acting as an escort craft, safety boat or coach boat for a fleet of dinghies, windsurfers or canoes, and for racing or training activities.

Prior to the course you will need to hold the RYA Level 2 Powerboat certificate.

Non Members - £150

Suggested minimum pre-course experience:

RYA Powerboat Level 2 certificate must be held prior to the course.

Assumed knowledge:

Minimum age 16. Basic understanding of sailing boats.

Course content:

Boat handling, rescue techniques for sailing dinghies, windsurfers and canoes, and tows.

Ability after course:

Able to provide safety cover to a range of craft, particularly sailing or windsurfing.

Minimum duration:

Two days.
