RYA Start Yachting

The RYA Start Yachting Course gives you an introduction to sail cruising for those who have never sailed before and where better to do this in the warm sunshine and blue seas around Puerto Calero Marina on the beautiful Island of Lanzarote.

By the end of the two days (residential) you will have helped hoist the sails, helm the yacht, learnt the maritime knots (figure of eight, round turn and two half hitches and a bowline) and you will have an awareness of safety onboard.

There is a minimum age limit of 8, so perfect for all the family.

On successful completion you will be issued with the RYA Start Yachting Certificate. You can then convert this into a competent crew certificate by completing a further three days RYA Competent Crew Sailing Course.
