This one-day course provides all the knowledge you need to operate a VHF radio transceiver, and enables you to obtain an Operator Licence at the same time. You will learn how to send Distress messages by voice and Digital Selective Calling (DSC), with hands-on practice. You will also learn about other Distress and Safety equipment: Navtex, EPIRBs and SARTs.

Award of the SRC Operator Certificate is by in-course Assessment, consisting of a written test paper and practical tests of your ability to operate a VHF/DSC radio to send and receive Distress messages and routine communications.
