What is it?
The Short Range Certificate (SRC) is a legal requirement for anyone using VHF and VHF Digital Selective Calling (DSC) equipment on any British vessel voluntarily fitted with a radio.
The course gives you background knowledge of radios and a practical understanding of their use in everyday and emergency situations. We can deliver the Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS) update for those who hold the old certificate.
When is it?
This course is usually run on a Saturday once a month or is available online.
Who is it for?
This course is designed for anyone looking to use a marine VHF radio. We will send you a pre-learning pack.
How much is it?
£79, including a course book and certificate. There is a £60 external examiner fee.
