Useful Information
Depending on your age and prior work experience when you start, your career progression will vary. On average a Steward/Stewardess will spend 2-3 years in junior roles before landing a senior position. Very often those who start as ‘mature’ entrants, particularly with prior hospitality experience under their belt, will quickly rise to a position of authority in a shorter time span. Good and experienced senior crew are in high demand and can earn wages in excess of $10,000/month. Charters tips will also increase any crew’s earnings considerably with tips of $1,000-$3,000 per charter common. Most crew agreements include a free flight home each year, a month’s holiday and bonus. Crew have virtually no living expenses and are covered by health insurance!
