WSET® Level 3 Award in Wines
This is a highly professional course that opens up the world of wine and offers comprehensive coverage of the major wine producing regions of the world. A large part of the course is focussed on professional tasting technique, product identification and quality assessment.
This qualification is open to students who hold the WSET Level 2 Award in Wines & Spirits or can demonstrate the equivalent level of knowledge.
It is a prerequisite for candidates planning to study for the WSET Level 4 Diploma in Wines and Spirits qualification.

Production of Wine (location, viticulture, vinification, maturation and bottling, labelling regulations)
France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Central and South Eastern Europe, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand, North America, South and Central America

Fortified (Liqueur) Wines
Information and Advice for Customers and Staff
Approximately 80 wines from both local and around the world.
WSET Level 3 Systematic Approach to Tasting – how to taste wines and evaluate the quality, style and price
Assessment
The final exam consists of a theory exam: 50 multiple choice questions, 5 short written answers.
Followed by blind tasting exam of two wines.
A pass mark of 55% is required. .
Entry Requirements:
Candidates must be over the legal minimum age for the retail purchase of alcoholic beverages.
Candidates are advised to hold the WSET Level 2 Award in Wines and Spirits before study for the WSET Level 3 Award in Wines and Spirits.
