Summary

We are seeking an active housekeeping stewardess for a private, 75m+ explorer-style yacht.

Overview

Housekeeping

•An in-depth understanding of the methodology of detailing a boat

•An accurate and organized nature

•A thorough understanding of laundry operations (care of materials, pressing, repairs, use of products)

Boat Admin

•Continuous stock control of inventories reordering and restocking of consumables such as guest and crew toiletries, pharmaceutical/medical products and cleaning products, crew snacks, non-alcoholic beverages, beer & wine

•Management/Inventory/Purchasing of crew uniform, guest clothing, guest and crew linen and towels

•Maintain Laundry and cleaning products inventory

•Maintain MSDS logs for all chemicals used within the interior department, ensuring to obtain MSDS for any new chemicals purchased

Crew Admin & Areas

Maintain the yachts’ daily work record

•Perform Watch Keeping duties as scheduled by the Chief Stewardess

•Ensure the highest level of cleanliness and organization of all the crew areas, stores and crew cabins by conducting weekly checks

•Weekly crew cabin inspections and defects report

•Plan, assign, and supervise the work of the Housekeeping Department personnel

•Ensure interior crew are adhering to and implementing the yacht’s safety and security procedures

•Responsible for keeping the crew cabin allocation list up to date

General Management

•Orientate Guests on their accommodation upon arrival; unpacking Owner and Guest luggage as requested, and appropriate labeling and stowage of guest luggage

•Assist with and oversee cleaning and regular service of crew areas, guest staterooms and guest areas when Guests onboard ensuring the highest standards are maintained

•Ensure all safety and security procedures are implemented to guarantee the safety and security from all the guests

•Manage housekeeping and laundry operations and set standards for guest and crew

•Submit all Housekeeping provisioning orders to suppliers and follow through as appropriate

•Identify short term and long term maintenance needs, create schedules, work directly with vendors and follows through on logistics. Coordinate and communicates with the Captain, First Officer and Chief Stewardess as appropriate

•Ensure all housekeeping appliances/equipment and cleaning products are used in a safe and correct manner

•Ensure your department is always presentable and in correct uniform (off and on charter)
