Are you ready to bring your expertise in mechanical and electrical systems to a busy family yacht? We’re searching for a skilled 2nd Engineer to play a vital role in the daily operations and maintenance of our vessel’s engineering department. Working closely with the Chief Engineer, you'll ensure everything runs like a well-oiled machine—literally!

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Supporting the Chief Engineer in managing the engine room and all its operations.
  • Keeping machinery and equipment in top-notch condition through proactive maintenance.
  • Conducting planed preventative maintenance inspections to spot and fix mechanical issues before they become problems.
  • Maintaining precise records of operations, repairs, and maintenance logs.
  • Keeping up to date with IMO, MARPOL, Classification and Flag requirements and ensuring that ongoing compliance with safety and environmental regulations is met.
  • Collaborating with the engineering team to tackle technical challenges with creative solutions.
  • Leading by example during emergency drills and responding swiftly to real-life scenarios.
  • Guiding and mentoring junior engineers to build a strong and cohesive team.

What We're Looking For:

  • The ability to work independently and thrive without constant supervision.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to handle unexpected challenges.
  • The ability to perform under pressure and thrive in challenging environments.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills to inspire and guide your team.
  • A steadfast commitment to safety, efficiency, and environmental stewardship.

  • Tender ops knowledge and capable of manoeuvring and navigating tenders and chase boats during maintenance if required

Physical Requirements:

  • A positive minded individual who is both physically and mentally fit
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces.
  • Ready to embrace life at sea for extended periods.

What We Offer:

  • 60 days of annual leave, once you complete a 3-month probation period.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and travel insurance, so you’re covered wherever you go.
  • Training allowance
  • An annual flight allowance to keep you connected to your loved ones.
