Position: Engineer  US Flagged - TEMPORARY

Must hold green card or US citizen

Temporary for 1 - 3 months to help with engineering projects. Sailing experience is a plus.

Location: US - Northeast

Start date: Early September

Itinerary: Northeast - NYC Docked

Licence: Any engineering license and/or strong engineering experience. Previous sail experience.

STCW95  + Refresher and ENG1/or USCG Medical. 

Experienced hands on engineer willing to learn as well. Ability to work on older boats. Not a complicated boat.

Responsibilities: Engineering.

Job Specifics: Will be docked in NYC. Working on projects with the captain. 

It is not a complicated boat, not many electronics. There are 26 cabins so you do have the maintenance for the heads, etc.

*This is an older boat, 1983, there will be some engineering projects. It is not a complicated system. Cats 3196, Northern Gens. There will need to be some work done on the fuel delivery systems and what is most important is preventative maintenance. 

For longer term employment: One of the things we are looking for is a demonstration of stability, someone who has been in a position for a number of years.  That’s the type of person we need here for our summer charter program in New England and our winter program racing and chartering in the Caribbean.

This is not your typical mega yacht. They have up to 30 guests on board for charters and 9 crew. It is not high end charter service.  

Salary range: Within yachting salary guidelines depending on experience - to be discussed doe.
