Summary
Position: Captain for 91ft US FLAGGED Vessel Currently seeking a Captain who is also mechanically inclined to join a 91ft US-flagged motor yacht. This could be a great position for an experienced Mate looking to jump into their first Captain position. This position requires an individual experienced with Caterpillar engines, as the vessel operates with a small crew – just the Captain and a Chef/Mate. Current Status: Just completed a survey Upcoming Voyage: Heading down the East Coast to Nassau in November Base: Liveaboard position Key Responsibilities: - Operate and navigate the vessel safely along planned routes. - Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting, particularly on Caterpillar engines. - Manage all aspects of the yacht's operations, including upkeep, budgeting, and safety. - Oversee the vessel's dive program, including equipment maintenance and safety protocols. - Collaborate with the Chef/Mate to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for the owner and guests. Requirements: - Must be a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder. - Must hold 200 ton - Strong mechanical skills, particularly with Caterpillar engines. - Experience in yacht operations and maintenance, preferably in a similar-sized vessel. - Keen interest in a long-term commitment; the previous Captain held the position for 12+ years. - Dive certification or experience with dive programs is a plus.
