Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Temporary Chief Officer to join our client crew. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the overall safety and security of the vessel, management of deck operations, and supervision of the deckhands. This role requires strong leadership skills, extensive maritime knowledge, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily deck operations, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and maritime regulations.
Manage and train deck crew to maintain high standards of service and performance.
Assist the Captain in navigation and operation of the yacht.
Conduct regular safety drills and ensure all safety equipment is in good working order.
Maintain the cleanliness and maintenance of all exterior areas of the yacht.
Assist with guest services and activities as required.
Ensure the vessel is prepared for port arrivals and departures.
Qualifications
Valid Chief Officer (Yacht) certificate or equivalent.
Minimum of 1.5 years of experience in a similar role on motor yachts or commercial vessels.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Proficient in navigation and ship management software.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
STCW certification (Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers).
A valid medical certificate and seafarer’s book.
Visa: B1/B2, US Citizen or Green Card holder
