Summary

We are currently seeking an experienced C.E.

Chief Engineer - 38m Private Sailboat

Location: United States (US Flagged)

Position Type: Full-Time

We are seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to join our team aboard a luxurious 38m private sailboat. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our vessel.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all engineering operations on board, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Manage maintenance schedules and perform regular inspections of all machinery and equipment.

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Maintain inventory of spare parts and supplies, ensuring all necessary components are available for repairs and maintenance.

Collaborate with the Captain and crew to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.

Prepare reports on equipment status and maintenance activities.

Manage and mentor junior engineering staff.

Qualifications:

STCW

ENG1

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Chief Engineer on similar-sized vessels. Sailing Experience preferred

Valid USCG Chief Engineer license (or equivalent).

Strong knowledge of marine engineering systems, including generators, propulsion systems, and HVAC.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Experience with troubleshooting and repair of both mechanical and electrical systems.

Salary:

Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Sailing vessel experience preferred.
