Summary
Burgess recruitment is currently seeking a Chase Boat Captain for a 16m yacht
Although under the supervision of the 68m Chief Officer, and with the support of the engineering department, this is an autonomous position
Experience Required
•Large tender driving experience (specifically with twin screw inboard propulsion).
•Yachtmaster ticket
•Diving experience is highly preferred.
•Experience navigating remote areas with unreliable charts, especially in Southeast Asia (SE Asia).
•Familiarity with maritime conditions and challenges in SE Asia, Australia, and the Pacific.
Responsibilities
•Autonomous role requiring:
oProvisioning and bunkering.
oPassage planning.
oMonitoring hours of rest and planned maintenance.
oOverseeing vessel maintenance, contractors, ordering supplies, and managing budgets.
•Support from the engineering department, and chief Officer
•Must handle unpredictable hours with a pragmatic and forward-thinking approach.
