HOUSEKEEPER-BUTLER LIVE IN HONEYDEW, GAUTENG, SOUTH AFRICA SALARY: 30,000 - 40,000 ZAR Monday to Friday Essential Requirements: Previous Experience working as a private household housekeeper in a respected high end family home or Boutique Hotel. Ability to manage the housekeeping team. Good communication skills. Great attention to detail, experience with fine Art, fine fabrics, silver and Antiques. Service skills essential. Team Player with a happy, friendly disposition. Adolescence and dog friendly. An experienced, flexible housekeeper is required for a private family . You will be required to ensure the safe keeping and smooth running of the family and residence as part of an established team. You will be working alongside other housemaids, Au pair and chef. Responsibilities will include: Collaborate with the housemaids to ensure the property is kept in top condition, clean, safe and secure always. Supervision, monitoring and training of the housemaids to a high standard to ensure attention to detail. Leading by example. Hands on day-to-day housekeeping duties to include care of antiques, fine China, silverware and other delicate items in the household. This includes windows, floor treatments, dusting, polishing, vacuuming, care of upholstery, fabric, glass, leather, etc., and careful attention to the cleaning of all fine furnishings. Service all areas regularly, following cleaning schedules to include regular deep cleaning to ensure the property is always maintained to a high standard of cleanliness. Making and changing of beds, evening turndown as required. Liaise with the principals regarding any/all maintenance issue relating to the property. Front of house skills, meet and greet guests, serve at formal and informal table. Most important is a happy, flexible, energetic person, who takes pride in their work, highly discreet and looking for a long-term position. This vacancy is open to both daily and live in candidates.
