Summary
Relief 1st Engineer on a 90m+ yacht.
Licence: 2nd Engineer Unlimited is minimum, Chief Engineer Unlimited is a plus. STCW, ENG1 PDSD.
Start date: next coming days.
Contract: till 13th of November minimum but flexible to extend it up to 2 months if required.
Duties (see below but not limited to):
- Support the Chief Engineer and assist in all aspects of his/her position.
- Responsible for engineering safety rounds, insuring that all safety equipment is maintained and appropriate training of crew is carried out, working closely with and supporting the Chief Officer in all aspects of Yacht safety.
- 1st Engineer is to assist the Chief Engineer in planning the daily work routines for all engine room crew, ensuring that all breakdown and planned maintenance is carried out in accordance with onboard maintenance schedule and reported in the vessels computerized planned maintenance system. He/she is required to have both management skills and to actively take a hands on role with regards to the technical maintenance on board.
- Experience with using computer based planned maintenance systems for example Amos W.
- Experienced knowledge and hands on experience with refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.
- Perform all watch keeping routines as outlined in Chief engineer’s standing orders and form a permanent part of the department duty roster.
- The position requires a highly motivated, pro active, hands on professional whose energy, personality and communication skills will ensure distinctive service is provided to owners and guests.
Salary Package: good industry standard to be discussed during last stages of the interviews
