Job Title: Bosun
We are looking for an experienced Bosun to join a dynamic and youthful crew aboard a 90M+ private and charter yacht. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who enjoys working in a positive, professional environment and has a passion for leadership and deck management. As the Bosun, you will oversee the daily deck operations, managing the team under the guidance of the Chief Officer. You will be responsible for maintaining the yacht's deck, ensuring safety protocols, and leading deckhands while also having the chance to gain bridge duty experience if desired.
The yacht is well-known in the charter industry, operating primarily in the Mediterranean during the summer, with back-to-back charters and a few additional charters over the winter, including one during Christmas. At the end of the summer, the yacht typically hosts a 3-4 week boss trip. The yacht is a supportive and encouraging environment. They share a health-conscious lifestyle, enjoying gym workouts, watersports, and golf during their downtime.
This yacht places a strong emphasis on professional development, often described as a "school" where crew members can take full advantage of various training courses. There is an annual training allowance available to further enhance your skills and qualifications. While no extra qualifications are required for this position beyond a Navigation Yacht Rating, training is available onboard if needed. The yacht also offers equal tips for the entire crew, creating a fair and unified environment.
