HOUSEKEEPER/COOK & HANDYMAN/DRIVER COUPLE REQUIRED IN BUCKINGHAMSHIRE

We have a wonderful opportunity for a hardworking and dedicated Domestic Couple to work for a HNW family at their large estate in Buckinghamshire. A countryside role, the Couple will both need to be confident drivers, interested in country pursuits and happy to look after a variety of animals on the estate as part of the role.
Working alongside and reporting to the Estate Manager, the Couple will ensure that the interior and the exterior of the property are maintained to the highest standard and will have excellent organisational and communication skills to prioritise responsibilities efficiently. Part-time staff are employed to assist with both housekeeping and gardening duties, but it’s essential that the Couple are happy to work in their respective roles in a hands-on capacity. Both candidates should be well presented and have good interpersonal skills, able to meet and greet guests, and serve at the table.
The Houskeeper’s duties will include laundry, ironing, cleaning, tidying, and wardrobe management, as well as grocery shopping and cooking for the principals and occasional guests. Preparing and serving lunch to the principals, the Housekeeper will also prep dinner, ready for the principals to serve themselves. The Gardener/Driver will be responsible for pool cleaning, gardening and coordinating landscaping, and general DIY tasks in and around the house, as well as driving the principal, so good experience driving luxury vehicles is a must for this role.
The usual working week will be from 8am-5pm Monday to Friday, but some flexibility to work the occasional Saturday morning. Accommodation is offered in a lovely, private 2-bedroom cottage on-site, but unfortunately no dependents can be accommodated.
DUTIES TO INCLUDE:
• Managing laundry, ironing, changing bed lines, cleaning bathrooms and all general cleaning in the house
• Preparing weekly menus for the family’s approval and preparing and serving meals and snacks as requested
• Laying and clearing the table
• Grocery shopping, sourcing fresh seasonal ingredients (both in store and online)
• Gardening and landscaping
• Ensuring all walkways and pathways are clear
• Window cleaning
• Animal care
• Pool cleaning and maintenance; DIY handyman tasks
• Driving the principal to meetings and appointments; maintaining, cleaning and fuelling the cars
• Ad-hoc errand running
