A brilliant temporary Domestic Couple role has become available for an experienced Couple to work for a HNWI for the month of December on their large estate in Buckinghamshire. Suited to a Housekeeper/Cook and Handyman/Gardener/Driver couple, the role will entail all aspects of ensuring the smooth running of this family home and estate over the busy Christmas period.
Working alongside and reporting to the Estate Manager, the Couple will be strong team players, able to work collaboratively with the part-time staff are employed to assist with both housekeeping and gardening duties. The Houskeeper’s duties will include laundry, ironing, cleaning, tidying, and wardrobe management, as well as grocery shopping and cooking for the principals and their guests. A caterer will be on-site for the larger parties, but a Housekeeper/Cook with solid cooking skills would be preferred.
The Gardener/Driver/Handyman will be responsible for pool cleaning, gardening, DIY tasks in and around the house, ad-hoc errand running, pet care as well as driving the principal when needed, so good experience driving luxury vehicles is a must for this role. There will be a few events and dinner parties hosted at the estate in the lead up to the festive period, so both candidates should be comfortable with meeting and greeting guests and serving at the dinner table.
General working hours will be from 8am-5pm Monday to Friday, but some flexibility will be required to work different hours, depending on the principals’ schedules/events. Accommodation is offered in a lovely, private 2-bedroom cottage on-site.
DUTIES TO INCLUDE:
• Managing laundry, ironing, changing bed lines, cleaning bathrooms and all general cleaning in the house
• Preparing light lunches and home-cooked dinners for the principals
• Assisting caterers with food prep and service at events/parties
• Meeting and greeting guests, serving food and beverages
• Grocery shopping, sourcing fresh seasonal ingredients (both in store and online)
• Gardening and landscaping, ensuring all walkways and pathways are clear
• Window cleaning, pool cleaning and maintenance; DIY handyman tasks
• Animal care
• Driving the principals; maintaining, cleaning and fuelling the cars
• Ad-hoc errand running
