Summary
The 2nd Service role directly supports the Lead Service Stew, assisting in daily operations and managing the team as needed. They contribute to worklists and handle supervisory duties when the Lead is absent from the floor, ensuring continuity in leadership and maintaining high standards of service.
A primary responsibility is to serve as the Lead’s right hand, stepping in to assist with tasks and making sure operations run smoothly. This includes providing high-end food and beverage service to guests, ensuring an exceptional experience in line with established standards. Additionally, the 2nd Service manages inventory and orders for service-related products, ensuring all necessary items are stocked and organised.
The 2nd Service also maintains service and storage areas, keeping these spaces orderly and ready for use. Another crucial part of the role involves training junior stews, following guidelines set by the Lead and C/S, to uphold service quality and support team development. Uniform management also falls under the 2nd Service’s purview, including tracking inventory, placing orders, issuing uniforms to crew members, and organising the uniform storage area effectively.
Requirements:
- Professional appearance and demeanour.
- Female only (due to cabin arrangements).
- Some tattoos acceptable - will be decided case by case.
The candidates must have the following certifications or be willing to obtain them before the start date:
- Food Safety and Hygiene Level 2
- Seaman\'s Discharge Book
- Proficiency in Designated Security Duties
Additionally, candidates must be willing to undergo a drug and alcohol test before joining the team.
