Rotational Head Chef – Support Vessel 90m+
• Start date: 17th of December
• Location: Europe / Middle East
• Package: Salary in Euros, 176 paid day Leave
Experience and attributes required:
• Passionate about food and enjoy cooking multiple styles of cuisines and cooking methods.
• Creative, Calm, open minded, able to multitask, plan and produce food for large numbers.
• Experience in stock control reducing wastage.
• Solid Leadership skills, ability to manage a multinational team.
• Strong communication skills, time management.
• Organized, Methodical.
• Strong awareness of workplace hygiene and personal hygiene.
• Keen eye and attention to detail.
• Patience & Willingness to assist training the rest of the galley alongside current Head Chef.
• Training in other areas such as patisserie would be advantageous.
• Fluent English both written and oral
Qualifications required:
• Culinary certificate/qualification/apprenticeship NVQ Level 3, Level 2 certificate in Food preparation and Cooking or equivalent.
• 5 + years’ experience in restaurants or hotels outside of their training.
• Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Ships Cook Certificate Fully updated STCW
• Proficiency in Designated Security Duties
• Seafarer’s Medical Certificate (Min 6 months validity)
• Seaman’s Discharge Book
• Covid Vaccinated with Booster (Client request)
