Chief Engineer in Virgin Islands (U.S.)

Summary

Burgess recruitment is URGENTLY seeking a Chief Engineer for a 50m new build motor yacht

Requirements:

Y3 minimum - preferably higher.

New build experience as Chief Engineer (vessel has just been delivered)

Charter experience on a 50m MY

Main engines are MAN, generators are Kohler

Must hold a b1b2 Visa

Ideally someone in the US or the Caribbean

There is a Deck/2^nd Eng to assist, but this person will be 70% on deck, so CE needs to be happy almost alone. An extra Engineer also comes on for big crossings meaning there is a bit more of a team and this extra person can overlap a bit longer when necessary.

Start date: ASAP - 08 December so as to prepare for the first charter on 26 December 

Location: St Thomas

Salary: EUR 9000

Package: 2:2 rotation, Single cabin

Vessel Program and itinerary: Private/charter, dual season. The vessel will complete a short Caribbean season, and then return to Italy from the 2^nd half of February.

• STCW 95 (STCW 2010)
• ENG 1 (Medical Certificate)

Engineering Qualifications (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)

• RIII/3 Y3 Chief Engineer (<500gt <3000kW)/ Chief Engineer (SV) (<500gt 3000kW)
