Responsibilities
Assisting the Chief Engineer with duties include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain and troubleshoot the shipboard infrastructure
- Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements and troubleshoot issues
- Maintain technical documentation, manuals and policies as needed
- Work with shore side support team
- Assist other ship departments as necessary
Requirements:
commercial background
DP experience is a plus but not exclusively
Qualifications
- STCW III/2 2nd Engineer Unlimited required
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work extended hours in occasionally harsh environments
PSCRB
Advanced Fire Fighting
STCW + Refresher
PDSD or PSA
Proficiency in medical first aid
Security awareness
ENG1/ Medical fit for duty
Passport
Seaman's Discharge Book
Valid US visa or US passport is a plus
Other: Cabin shared
