Summary

Position: Deckhand/Security Guard

Vessel: 62m Motor Yacht

Location: International Travel (Caribbean, Florida, US West Coast and other cruising areas)

Start Date: Immediate

We are seeking a professional, motivated, and reliable Deckhand/Security Guard to join the crew of a prestigious 62-meter motor yacht. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day deck operations while ensuring the safety and security of the vessel and crew during both cruising and at anchor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with deck operations, including tender launches, mooring, anchoring, and general maintenance of the yacht’s exterior and equipment.
  • Conduct regular security patrols of the vessel during port and anchor stays to ensure safety and prevent unauthorized access.
  • Monitor and maintain the security equipment on board, including surveillance systems and access control.
  • Assist in the safe operation and maintenance of water toys and tenders.
  • Help with the upkeep of the yacht’s cleanliness, including washing, polishing, and maintaining deck areas and equipment.
  • Participate in emergency drills and safety procedures, ensuring a high standard of safety and readiness at all times.
  • Support the deck team with the overall management of the yacht’s exterior and ensure a high level of presentation.
  • Accompany guests and owners on excursions

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous yachting experience as a deckhand or in a similar maritime role (preferably on vessels of 50m+).
  • Strong background in security or law enforcement is a significant advantage.
  • Excellent physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks. ( Personal trainer would be a big plus)
  • Knowledge of maritime safety procedures, deck operations, and security protocols.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • STCW Basic Safety Training (STCW 95 or STCW 2010).
  • ENG1 medical certificate or equivalent.
  • Valid passport and B1/B2 visa
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality.
