Summary
Position: Deck/Engineer will start temp or probationary, then most probably permanent 3months on, 1month off.
Experience: At least 1 year in an engineering role on a yacht, or previous experience as a marine engineer or trade background on the tools.
Qualifications: ENG1, STCW, USA B1/B2 Visa, Preferably some engineering quals.
Location: Northern California, San Francisco Bay Area.
Salary: $7,000.00 USD per month. Highly dependant on quals and experience of candidate.
Availability: Starting mid to late January 2025.
Description: Candidate should have a good understanding of outboard engines, be capable of driving tenders up to 45 ft, and have strong electrical knowledge. Note that this is a crossover role, so there will be some deck and interior helpout duties. Not pure engineering.
Security: Must be able to get through background checks and vetting interview.
Depending on the candidate, we may opt to put them as Sole Engineer on our 80' hybrid electric catamaran. This is the latest and greatest with lithium batteries and solar power.
